FAQ

Q: At what time should I arrive for my booking?

A: At least 15 minutes before your start time. If you’ve not surrendered your voucher to us, or made us aware that you’re on site within 15 minutes of your start time you may not be able to shoot & will lose your voucher / booking.

It is your responsibility to make sure that you understand where the clay pigeon shooting is taking place. Directions can be sent via email to you. If you get lost on the day you can call our mobile number ( 07768 742117 ), but we cannot guarantee to answer the phone, or guide you to us. If you think your going to need to discuss directions with us please make sure you email, or phone at least 4 working days before the event.

Q: What will happen if I arrive late for my  booking, even a few minutes?

A: You probably will not be able to shoot & your booking / voucher will be void, there will be no re-booking or refund.  We’ll  try & fit you in, but cannot promise to. We won’t make other guests that have arrived on time, stand around waiting for someone who isn’t there.

Q: Why are the above two questions so strict, traffic is bad everywhere nowadays? It seems a little harsh & unfair!

A: It’s so that we have time to go through all of the relevant Health & Safety issues with you before you start, also we aren’t allowed to shoot later than our permitted hours at any of our venues under current planning legislation.

Q: Can I have the postcode of the shoot to put in my satellite navigation system please?

A: There aren’t exact postcodes for Three Acres or Essex Shooting Ground. We don’t have post delivered there, they aren’t residential areas, so please use our directions.

Q: I have a gift voucher that I want to redeem, can I book myself in provisionally, because I’m not sure what I’m doing on that date & if its raining I might not want to come?

A: When you book your voucher / group in its final. If you find that you need to change dates then please email, or phone. If we can change your date, without it affecting anybody else ( usually means at least 14 days before the event ) then we will free of charge.

If you need to change dates less than 14 days prior to the event you will be charged a £10 re-booking fee per person / voucher. We will only accept a change of date once, without exception . We cannot accept any date changes within 72 hours of the booking, regardless of the reason, so please don’t ask.

This applies to our own & all third-party gift vouchers that we redeem.

We guarantee to do our best to  make sure that there is space for you on your chosen date ( we’ve never let anyone down so far ). This involves an instructor being booked ( that we have to pay for ) to cover the period of the day that you’ll be with us for.  If you simply just don’t turn up your voucher has been spent. You’re still more than welcome to shoot at sometime in the future, but you’ll have to purchase another voucher.

If you want  confirmation of a gift voucher booking ( just to make 100% sure that there is no confusion  with the date in question ), please  send us a request by email at least 72 hours before your event, including all of the relevant voucher details, booking date, name, location booked, voucher no. & booking time.

Q: What do I need to bring with me on the day?

A: Your voucher/s must be with you on the day, unless it was issued directly by Clay Pigeon Shoot Ltd, or Buyagift ( Experience More ) in which case we don’t need it. You may not be able to shoot without a voucher if it’s issued by a third-party agent such as The Big Shoot, The Activity People, Adventure 001, Virgin Experience, Acorne, Exhilaration, or View London Experiences. Please dress for being outside in a grass field according to the time of year & what the weather is doing on the day. It’s always a good idea to bring a waterproof coat & boots, just in case you should need them.

Q: Can I bring spectators & my dog?

A: You’re welcome to bring spectators, they may need to purchase earplugs ( 50 pence per pair ). Dogs are not allowed, even if kept on a lead. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed on any of the premises at all, this is in the interests of Health & Safety. If you must bring them they should stay inside your vehicle, in the car park, supervised by another adult.
